downloading 1.5.1 … installer or zip … which is the way to go … aside from file size, what's the difference … any apparent limitations?

The ZIP doesn't come with installer. It just includes the exe, help files, and Release Notes. If you have any hesitation, I would suggest going with the installer.

surprised with the quick reply … thanks, austin. i went with the *.zip file as opposed to the installer … must say i am impressed with the performance and features. incidentally, my current platform is win-8 … with "classic-shell" as viable interface.

have used "3dClip.exe (1.0.7)" for past several years on win-xp … that version also worked well on this new win-8. but, i wanted add'l feature of images … instead of text only.

this latest build "Clip.exe(1.5.1.28)" is far superior from the earlier (but faithful) software i'd been using. this new version supports images as well as actions … which seem very useful. previously, i had bookmarked a url for converting text-case.

not only that … mr. valenti was able to keep the size of the file down … well lower than the competition. whereas the original 3dClip.exe was 53kb … the clip.exe is only 259kb. surreptitiously … nothing interferes with the registry … when utilizing the above-stated method i had chosen.

good work, vince-valenti … as well as to the original andy-gerlicher … accolades also for this forum.
